Winter sprints<\/em>
across the way.<\/em>
“Father, Father,<\/em>
come on, let’s play.”<\/em>
Father Time smiles<\/em>
and kisses his son.<\/em>
“Not now, I must work,<\/em>
my littlest one.”<\/em>
So Winter waits<\/em>
for an hour or two,<\/em>
painting the grass<\/em>
with a frosty hue.<\/em>
He whistens and glistens<\/em>
the world in white<\/em>
till it spangles and sparkles<\/em>
ever so bright.<\/em>

Winter keeps asking his dad, Father Time, to play with him. But Father Time must set the clocks all over the world, and so his son has to entertain himself while waiting. Winter not only paints the world in frost, but also carves ice sculptures and snips snowflakes. When Winter brings his dad the most beautiful snowflake he’s created, Father Time realizes spending time with his son is more important than work. Father and son leap into the sky and have a cloud pillow fight that creates a blizzard.
